OUR HISTORY

SMART AND

SUSTAINABLE GROWTH

Our work is critical. Our results are tangible. And to realize our vision that all young people have the opportunity to earn a college degree, we must grow our reach.

We are developing our next strategic plan by rigorously evaluating our outcomes, seeking input from diverse community stakeholders, and learning from what is working. As we complete our Phase 3 planning, we will continue to hone our projections.

Over the course of the next five years we will grow to triple the number of students we serve annually.

Once we meet our Phase 3 milestone, we’ll continue our work until our vision is realized.

SUSTAINABILITY AND

SCALABILITY AT A LOW COST

Other solutions are often high cost and high impact–which makes them difficult to scale–or low cost and low impact.
We take a different approach:

DESIGN

We design solutions that achieve big postsecondary results for historically underserved students, uncovering the root causes of the college divide along the way.

REPLICATE

We replicate our model across districts and regions to identify scalable delivery models and move aggregate postsecondary rates in multiple contexts.

DISSEMINATE

We will proactively partner alongside K-12 districts and colleges to disseminate and share our curriculum, technology, and training to reach millions of students.

REGIONAL

EXPANSION

Since 2012, OneGoal has added a new region each year. Today, we operate in Chicago, Houston, New York, and Massachusetts, and will launch our first cohorts in Atlanta for in the 2017/18 school year. We are on track to select our sixth region in the fall of 2016 in order to begin serving students there in the 2018/19 school year.

What We Look For In Our Regions

THE NEED
What do local college enrollment and persistence numbers look like for students from low-income communities?

COLLEGE ACCESS & SUCCESS MOMENTUM
What current college access and success efforts are in place and what role might OneGoal play in the local landscape?

HIGHER EDUCATION LANDSCAPE
Are there a variety of colleges/universities that would be matches for our Fellows based on selectivity, graduation rates, and financial aid?

SCHOOL AND DISTRICT SUPPORT
Do schools share our vision and seek collaboration with a college access and success partner?

FUNDING
Can we secure support from a diverse funding community?
