Salary Range: $54,000-$58,000 is the hiring salary range (i.e. the range a candidate could be offered to start) for this role.

About OneGoal

Despite decades of work and millions of  dollars invested, the degree divide continues to be one of our nation’s most complex and critical injustices, with deep roots in systems of oppression and racism.  Only 22% of students from low-income communities earn a college degree, compared to 67% of their peers from high-income areas. 

COVID-19 further exposed and exacerbated inequity, with communities of color and those in low-income areas impacted at disproportionately high rates. We are looking for individuals to join us in our fight for equity during this extremely critical time.

  • OneGoal has grown from a small afterschool program serving just 32 students in Chicago to a nationwide movement that is serving some 12,500 students in six communities.

  • 88% of OneGoal high school graduates enroll in a postsecondary institution and 79% of those who enroll persist one year after high school.


The Person


As the Manager of National Corporate and Foundation Giving, you are responsible for providing key support to the corporate and foundation giving portfolio through grant reporting, pipeline management, prospect research, cultivation, and stewardship. You are deeply invested in telling our programmatic story to our funders and collaborating with the National Development team to reach our annual revenue goals. You are an exceptional communicator, strong project manager, embody our core values, and believe deeply in the potential of all OneGoal Fellows.


You will do this by:

  • Project-managing and writing grant reports for all foundation donors in the national portfolio, including gathering information from National Program team members, submitting data requests, and creating review processes and timelines for each report
  • Engaging in thought partnership and collaboration with the Senior Director of National Development, including:
    • Planning thoughtful engagement touchpoints for Foundation officers; 
    • Collaborating on idea generation and drafting support for grant proposals, concepts, or letters of inquiry; 
    • Engaging in prospect research to grow the national corp/found portfolio
  • Managing finance and gift processing needs for the national corp/found portfolio, including maintaining accurate data and information within Salesforce
  • Providing general support to the External Affairs team as needed and participating in team-wide projects

  • Lived experience of the Fellows we serve (Preferred)
  • 2-4 years of experience in a non-profit organization and/or development role (Preferred)
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills (Required)
  • Strong project management and planning skills (Required)
  • Ability to navigate uncertainty and change and thrive  in an environment of continuous learning and innovation (Required)
  • Ability to travel, once COVID-related restrictions are lifted.
  • Will likely travel 3-4 times per year for team-centered retreats. Trips typically last 2-3 days.
