  • Over the next five years we have set our sights on unprecedented goals: first to attain a 60% graduation rate among Fellows and to develop new delivery models to dramatically grow our reach.

The Person


 As OneGoal-Chicago’s Senior Director of Teacher Support Year 2, you are primarily responsible for leading and managing a team of Directors of Teacher Support (DTS) to achieve strong outcomes. You will do this  through the lens of the organization’s next phase of its strategic plan as determined by our Fellow outcomes, which includes, but may not be limited to: progressive pathway enrollment, college enrollment, and persistence in their chosen path. You will also be responsible for leading the Year 2 DTS team through the implementation of a new set of culturally relevant curricula that is uniquely tailored to the needs of our Chicago Program Directors and Fellows, as well as identify opportunities to keep Program Directors engaged through the end of their three year commitment to our program. Ultimately, the success of the Senior Director of Teacher Support Year 2 will be determined by our Fellow outcomes, which include but are not limited to: Fellow enrollment in a postsecondary path of their choosing, Fellow enrollment in high quality institutions and progressive pathways, and culturally relevant non-cognitive skill development as determined throughout the roll out phase of our new culturally relevant programming.


You will do this by:

  • Managing a team of four Y2 Directors of Teacher Support to ensure your staff is supported to thrive in their roles and that annual goals are met
  • Leading the Y2 team toward a multi-year vision for culturally relevant curricula and coaching to achieve our ambitious enrollment and persistence goals, in collaboration with the Managing Director of Persistence, Chicago Program leadership, and the National Program team.
  • Attracting, hiring and retaining exceptional diverse talent, and, using a compelling vision and strong management, drive team to achieve strong outcomes
  • Increasing internal staff capacity to ensure team members are effective in their roles
  • Playing a key role as a strategist and thought-partner on the Chicago Program leadership team as we consider the long-term implications of an improved culturally competent curriculum and training approach at OneGoal

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
  • At least three years prior teaching/coaching experience in education (Strongly Preferred)
  • Deep familiarity with the Chicago postsecondary landscape (Strongly Preferred)
  • 1 – 2 years of adult management experience (Preferred)
  • Experience in CRP research and practice (Preferred)
