About OneGoal

OneGoal transforms postsecondary advising and support so that every student can define their own future. Together with our partners, we’re building a movement to close the opportunity gap. We work side-by-side with partner schools and districts to build their knowledge and capacity. The result is more equitable and effective support for all students. Our unique approach, honed over 15 years, prioritizes strong human relationships. And it’s proven to deliver real student impact. 81% of OneGoal high school graduates enroll in a postsecondary institution, and 73% of those students persist one year after high school graduation. An independent study by the University of Chicago found that OneGoal students are about 40% more likely to earn their postsecondary degrees than students from similar backgrounds. We are looking for individuals to join us in our pursuit of equity.

The Person

As the Manager of Postsecondary Support, your mission is to support a portfolio of Year 3 Fellows (students in their first year of a postsecondary pathway) to enroll and persist in a quality four-year college, two-year college, or progressive pathway. You will be responsible for providing tiered, differentiated coaching in-person and virtually that supports Fellows’ financial, academic, and social wellbeing. You will partner with Fellows in your portfolio to ensure they retain their scholarships and financial aid packages, maintain satisfactory academic progress in their programs, are connected with campus supports, and are overall successful in persisting toward their degree or certification. You will also work to connect unenrolled Fellows with high-quality postsecondary opportunities aligned with their aspirations.

You will do this by:

Providing differentiated fellow support to a portfolio of approximately 100 Y3 Fellows in order to reach key enrollment and persistence outcomes (65%):

  • Building trusting, professional relationships with recently enrolled postsecondary students and fellows with an interest in pursuing postsecondary education.
  • Supporting students in navigating academic, financial, and social-emotional challenges during their first year in postsecondary education.
  • Monitoring student progress towards key success indicators such as meeting academic goals, securing financial aid resources, and building social networks on campus.
  • Ensuring that students stay on a path towards their aspirations, persevering through to their second year of postsecondary education.
  • Consistently and accurately maintain coaching data for all Fellows for internal and external needs.

Establishing strong culture and community amongst Y3 Fellows (15%)

  • Plan and execute in-person Fellow engagements throughout the year to engage both enrolled and unenrolled Fellows.
  • Plan and execute engagement campaigns including newsletters, incentives, etc. to increase Fellow engagement within your portfolio and across the Y3 community.
  • Establish and maintain connections with campus support staff at institutions where your Fellows attend in order to support Fellow success and partnership cultivation.

Collaboration and Innovation (10%)

  • Collaborating with regional and national staff on special projects and teamwide work, committing to aligned strategy to achieve enrollment and persistence outcomes.

Strengthening the OneGoal Community (10%)

  • Work to achieve meaningful outcomes, contribute to building a strong team and culture, and commit to your own learning + development aligned to our Core Values.
